Flame Azalea (Azalea calendulaceum; Rhododendron calendulaceum)

Flame Azalea is an upright, woody, deciduous shrub that typically matures to 8 to 12 feet tall and 6 to 10 feet wide. It has large, showy, funnel-shaped flowers in clusters of 5 or more. The non-fragrant flowers, appearing before or with the leaves, vary in color from yellow to red, most often a shade of orange. Summer foliage is medium green and the fall color is red to burgundy.
