Early Sunflower (Heliopsis helianthoides)

Its flowers bloom from July to September and attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and beneficial insects. It does well in dry to medium-wet soil and prefers full sun. Will grow to about 5' tall. Tolerates drought, but does best if regularly watered. Tolerates a wide range of soils, including poor, dry, and clayey.
