Fringe Tree (Chionanthus virginicus)

Fringe Tree produces white, fringe-like flowers on both male and female trees in April and May. It is one of the last trees to put out leaves in the spring. The female produces olive-like fruit that darkens to bluish-black in late summer and are a good food source for birds and other wildlife. It is the larval host for Rustic Sphinx Moth.
