In the wild, you can find Seaside Goldenrod hiding behind sand dunes because it actually doesn’t like it wet! This is the tallest of the goldenrods which can reach 3' to 6'. With this plant, you can create a lot of height in a compact area. This Goldenrod is a major food source for fall migrating monarch butterflies. It will also attract predatory wasps, that will help be natural pest control. Some people purposefully plant it near their vegetable gardens for this purpose. Do not overwater or over fertilize. Deer tolerant. Very neat appearance and no it doesn’t cause allergies (that is ragweed). So beautiful! Pair with coastal panic grass, cordgrass, beach grass, Blue Aster, Butterfly Weed.
